9 Lions online slot doesn’t use a conventional slot game format. Instead, there are nine individual reels set on a 9×3 grid.  Rather than using paylines, you’ll land wins from having a certain number of symbols anywhere on the grid at once.

Before you start playing the 9 Lions game, choose how much you’d like to bet per spin. Options go from €0.10 up to €100. 9 Lions uses a variety of different symbols for players to match. There are the A-10 card royals plus various coloured gemstones which all have a different animal inscribed into them. Finally, there’s the dragon and the lion.

The dragon symbol is the lowest paying symbol in the game but is the only symbol which will payout for just three anywhere on the reels. The golden lion is the best paying symbol in the game and will payout up to a massive 500x your stake if you fill the reels.

Gathering up nine golden lions will unlock the 9 Lions free spins round. Players can see how many lions they’ve collected so far to the right of the grid. Once this collection fills up, you’ll earn the free spins and can try to fill the reels with golden lions for the maximum jackpot of 1000x your bet.

The other 9 Lions bonus feature comes from the dragon symbol. Collect three dragons from landing dragons in the middle of the grid, and you can select a mystery prize. These jackpots can range from 10x your stake all the way up to 1000x your stake. Players have to choose from one of three dragons, which will reveal the prize after being selected.

After a non-winning spin that contains three of a type of symbol, players can choose to hold those symbols in place for the next spin.
