Loading up the slot for the first time you’ll discover a 6×4 grid set against the backdrop of a mine. The first thing you might notice is that in the middle of the reels, there’s a giant symbol, we’ll explain its function in a bit.
To land a win in Lucky Strike game, you don’t need to worry about paylines, anytime you land six or more of the same symbol, you’ll win. Symbols are all multicoloured gems of different shapes. They include the lower-paying triangles, the medium-paying squares and the high-paying octagons (eight-sided). The highest paying symbol in the game is the red octagon, which will give you 28x your stake for filling the reels with them.
The giant symbol in the centre of the reels is the main Lucky Strike bonus feature. Each time you land a win while matching the centre symbol, the winning symbols will lock in place. A random multiplier of up to 5x will then appear in the centre of the reels and the game will activate respins.
For the respins, each time any new matching symbols appear, the multiplier will increase by one and the respins will continue. This can potentially lead to some big wins if you can keep the consecutive wins going.
Lucky Strike has one bonus feature, the middle reel that activates respins. To unlock the bonus feature, you’ll need to have a match with a winning cluster and the middle symbol. All the winning symbols then lock in place, and wins that follow increase a multiplier.
We tested the game on multiple devices and found that the game had no issues on mobiles or tablets. Hurricane Games optimised Lucky Strike so players can enjoy it on a variety of platforms.
The game has an RTP factor of 96.25%.
Lucky Strike is a fairly unconventional slot game that manages to introduce some unique concepts. We enjoyed the middle reel and the respins bonus that it activates. It would have been nice to see some other special features like wilds or free spins, but there’s still a lot of fun to be had.
Aside from the gameplay, the game also looks great, and it’s nice to see a slot game that doesn’t have the same card royal symbols. We would have liked to see some different colours though, and sometimes it can be hard to discern between the squares and the octagons at first glance. If you’d like to try the game out for yourself, the demo version is available now. You can play for free and experience the respins feature for yourself.
